Hidden Glaciers Expedition

We tour the three outposts that serve as the base of our journey; refuges that take us back to an authentic traditional rural life. The unique combination of Andean forest, crystalline lakes, high mountains, skies, and imposing glaciers.

The proposal is to reach those points, where vehicles cannot go, leave the main house of the estancia behind, gain altitude, and enter another world after crossing the mountain pass.
Leaving civilization behind; becoming, for a few days, an intrinsic part of the landscape; riding out into sheer vastness and sharing in the daily rhythm of a baqueano or the early pioneers and explorers who shaped this land's history. Along the trail, magnificent views of the Hidden Glaciers unfold: Frías, Gorra, Grande, and Dickson. A seamless blend of horseback riding, trekking, and rural life that, on select dates, may coincide with a major cattle drive (arreo) or traditional corral work.

MUST BRING

Expect a dry Patagonian climate with sharp temperature changes. While daytime is warm (19°C), temperatures can drop to 3 °C at night. Even in high summer, evenings can turn very crisp and cold as soon as the sun goes down.

Please ensure you carry your personal medications and basic essentials, keeping in mind that we will be in remote locations, far from town.
