Altas Cumbres

Tafí del Valle, Tucumán

Duration: 4 days / 3 nights

Level: Intermediate / Advanced

Traditional saddle (apero) and mestizo horses (criollo base)

This expedition is an invitation to venture into the most pristine corners of Tucumán’s valleys, hills, and summits. A way to truly feel the land.

Guided by local baqueanos who know every fold of the territory, we immerse ourselves in the essence of the Argentine Northwest, following historic and traditional routes once carved by muleteers, spending our afternoons and evenings at remote mountain outposts (puestos de campo). As the high-altitude cold sets in, the shelter awaits with a fireside gathering, a traditional asado criollo, and guitar chords in the air. A rustic, demanding journey, deeply anchored in Argentine ground.

“Every ride is a bridge connecting human, horse, and mountain—where gaucho heritage is not just observed, but lived and shared.”

The Essence of the Journey

The warmth of the baqueanos, the clear skies, and the contrast with the green of the valleys make this an unrepeatable landscape in Argentina. We like it this way, immersing ourselves in every corner of the country and exploring it from the horse's point of view is completely different. We seek to enjoy, share, and contemplate.
